1. Willow Bend

Willow Bend neighborhood would be number one if we were naming the absolute best neighborhood in Plano. The neighborhood is conveniently located and features fine shopping, dining and entertainment options.

Homes here can cost anywhere between $700,000 and $5,000,000. The area is zoned to Plano West High School, located near the shops at Willow Bend and Dallas North Tollway.
Willow Bend Subdivision is massive and it’s typical to find more than thirty listings on the market at any given time. Out of those listed, about twenty homes will have an asking price of over $1million.

2. Whiffletree

Whiffletree neighborhood is stunning. Most of the homes in this community are either traditional or ranch style single-family homes. The area is located between Independence Parkway and Coit Road and is comprised of 459 homes.

The majority of homes were constructed in the eighties. They are complemented by lush landscaping, manicured lawns and mature trees.

Homes are moderately priced. Expect to pay between $300,000 and $600,000 for a home here.

3. Normandy Estates

Normandy Estates is located west of Plano. It features a European-style architecture and spans 75 acres and is purely for the luxury buyer. Homes are very expensive. The cost ranges from $1 to 3 million for a property.

Some of the unique features the neighborhood has include nature trails, a fishing dock, a fountain, and a lake.

4. Lakeside on Preston

The price of homes here is on the higher end as well. Most homes average around $900,000. At this price point, residents get nothing short of bespoke luxury. The typical lot size is between 0.15 and 0.7 of an acre.

Most homes were constructed between 1992 and 2005.

5. Indian Creek

Indian Creek neighborhood is intertwined within the Prestonwood Country Club golf course. It features a small pocket of homes on the west side of the Dallas North Tollway.
The neighborhood is located between Midway Road to the east, Prestonwood Drive to the west, Plano Parkway to the south and West Parker to the north.

Prices of homes are moderately expensive. They cost above $600,000 and measure up to 5,500 square feet. If what you are seeking is a country club life with tennis, golf and dining, then Indian Creek is your best bet.

6. Gleneagles

The neighborhood is located between Dallas North Tollway to the west, Preston Road to the east, W. Plano Parkway to the north, and W. Park to the south. Gleneagles neighborhood is classic, elegant and highly coveted for its country club lifestyle.

Homes here are expensive. They cost well over $700,000. The homes are assigned to Plano West High School, Renner Middle School, and Centennial Elementary School.

7. Forest Creek Estates

Forest Creek Estates is located west of Independence, east of Coit, south of Hedgecoxe and north of Legacy Drive. Similar to El Ranchero Country and Deerfield, homes here tend to cost on the premium side.

The average price of a home exceeds $400,000. Listings in the neighborhood don’t stay on the market for long because of the high demand from buyers.
The homes are zoned to Plano Independent School District (ISD) and Plano Senior High School.

8. El Ranchero Country Estates

El Ranchero Country Estates

Located near the Tollway in North Dallas, the neighborhood is one of the crème de la crème neighborhoods. Most homes are set on at least two acres and measure up to 17,000 sq. ft. and cost over $2,500,000.

Just like Deerfield, the area is zone into two areas. To the Plano Independent School District and to the desirable Plano West High School.

9. Deerfield

Deerfield neighborhood is located between Preston Rd. and Coit Rd. in northwest Plano. Homes here are moderately priced and cost between $400,000 and $800,000.

The neighborhood is split between zoning to Frisco ISD and Plano ISD. Homes assigned to the Frisco School District feed to Liberty High School and those zoned to the Plano School District feed to Plano West High School.

10. Avignon

Avignon neighborhood is located in the premier "location of Plano Texas, at Windhaven and the Tollway. The location of the neighborhood is convenient for shopping, dining and more. Downtown Dallas is also some few minutes away.

Avignon neighborhood is particularly popular for its architectural designs. Most homes feature Mediterranean and European inspired designs. Homes here have over 4,000 square feet and cost well over $700,000.

11. White Rock Creek Estates

White Rock Creek Estates

White Rock Creek Estates is a pocket of luxury in West Plano. Homes range from 5,000 to 7,000 square feet and are priced between $800,000 and $1.75 million. The neighborhood is located between Willow Bend Drive on the east and Parker Road on the north.

The neighborhood is zoned within the Plano ISD, with neighborhood kids attending Plano West Senior High, Shepton High School, Renner Middle School, and Brinker Elementary.

The area is near the Dallas North Tollway making commuting easy and quicker. Legacy Business Park is located just minutes to the north. The park is home to corporate giants like PepsiCo, FritoLay, FedEx, Ericson and Toyota North America.

The location also provides convenient access to a plethora of dining and retail options like The Shops at Legacy and The Shops at Willow Bend.

12. Shoal Creek

Shoal Creek is a neighborhood located on a gorgeous rolling terrain in West Plano. It features a superb collection of premium homes constructed between 1995 and 2006.

Homes in Shoal Creek typically sell for about $400,000 and $1.1 million. Typical lot size is between 0.15 and 0.5 acres.
